Book Club Discussion Posts: Make TWO discussion posts using the directions below.
How to make a post:
Click on the "discussion" tab at the top of the page. Click "+New Post"
Post 1 - Subject Title - Profile Comment (same book you've read, different book) Read the profile page and comment on it. Write at least THREE COMPLETE sentences. Be descriptive and thoughtful - what specifically did you like, what questions do you have. No text talk - LOL, U, IDK :)
Post 2 - Subject Title - Character/book Comment (a book you haven't read) What is your overall impression of the character? What do you think the book is about? What do you want to know about the book. THREE COMPLETE sentences. No text talk - <3 ;) R, U, i
Read the posts people gave you:
After you've made two posts, go back to your profile page and read the discussions that people posted to you. Answer their questions.
5th and 6th Periods Only

Directions for each post Your character accepted you on his or her profile page as a friend or family member
Select a Quote: Select a quote/passage from your book that has meaning for you and respond to it as if you were a friend or family member of your character. Write the quote or passage. What made you pick it? Why does it make you pause and think? Why is it important to you as a friend or family member to your character?
In the Scene: Choose an event from section 3 of your book where your character was tested in some way. Act as if you were a friend or family member of your character. First, describe the event. Next, describe the test the character is faced with. How was the character's true identity revealed through this test? Finally, how would you respond to your character regarding this event? How would you offer words of encouragement and support, and suggestions to overcome the obstacle.
